With tours 365 days a year, all visitors have plenty of opportunity to observe the aquatic creatures in their natural habitat below the glass deck of the boat.

  Gypsy Gold. Have you ever seen a majestic “Vanner” horse up close and in person? Here’s your chance! Gypsy Gold is a farm that’s part of a non-profit organization called The Cushti Bok (meaning “Good Luck”) Foundation, that seeks to increase awareness of British Gypsies and “Vanner” Horses. Vanner is an Old English word that means “a horse suitable to pull a caravan,” and these horses are definitely large enough to pull that and more. Gypsy Gold offers two-hour tours rich in history about these calm, graceful horses and the unknown societies of British Gypsies. Many who have visited Gypsy Gold speak to the kind nature of the animals on the farm and how the farm is a “must-visit” for anyone who stops in Ocala.

  Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. Gearheads from all over the US call this museum one of their favorite places to visit when in Ocala, Florida. While it’s focused on drag racing, the Don Garlits Museum is also home to antique cars, trophies, motors, and pictures of the history of drag racing in America. The Don Garlits name has been synonymous with drag racing since 1967 – he is the holder of 17 World Champion Titles, 8 US National Championships, and a total of 144 National Event wins, with each victory added to the drag racing history of the museum. All of that history means many exhibits to see – so many that past visitors suggest giving yourself plenty of time when visiting the museum, especially if there are racing fans in the group.

  Mojo’s. Located just a few short miles from MÜV Ocala is Mojo’s, a Cuban influenced restaurant that sprinkles in a pinch of Cajun and a dash of the blues to crat a soul-enriching experience. Mojo’s has heaping portions and explosive flavors on the palate with dishes like “The Pepin,” Mojo Cuban roast pork with sauteed onions served alongside rice, beans, and sweet plantains. One of the most talked about dishes is actually a dessert – prepared fresh daily with limited availability, the Bourbon Peach Bread Pudding is a warm peach bread pudding topped with a rich brown sugar bourbon sauce and dollop of vanilla ice cream, sweet caramel sauce cascading over top the dish.
